چکیده

Validating a model of a computer system means determining that the structure of the model is plausible and that the values of the response variables from the model agree (l~ithin some tolerance) IV"i th the values of the same variables obtained from the system. In this paper, four models of a single system are described. as are the attempts to validate each of them. Each model is described in terms of its structure, its accuracy and the costs of operation. While no general methodology is developed, facets of these validations can be seen to be applicable in many types of validations.
